Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our growing MEP team and contribute to the successful design and delivery of complex commercial building projects. This role is ideal for an individual who excels in both technical design and client collaboration, with a passion for innovative solutions, system integration, and code-compliant engineering practices.
The ideal candidate will have experience working across multiple project phases-from conceptual design to construction administration-and a strong working knowledge of the NEC, Title 24, and applicable building codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization and design of electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and mixed-use buildings
- Prepare engineering calculations including load analysis, short circuit studies, voltage drop, generator sizing, and Title 24 documentation
- Develop detailed construction documents and electrical specifications using AutoCAD and Revit
- Conduct building assessments and due diligence reports to document existing electrical infrastructure and recommend system upgrades
- Support the team during construction administration, including field observations, punch lists, RFIs, and cost evaluations
- Coordinate with MEP teams, architects, contractors, and consultants throughout project lifecycle
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineering staff
- Foster and grow client relationships through reliable delivery, technical excellence, and responsive communication

Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft OfficeStrong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with project stakeholdersFamiliarity with NEC, California Building Code, NFPA, and related codes and standardsSkilled in producing engineering reports, technical analyses, and construction documentsCreative problem-solver with an ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesPrior experience with construction administration, including submittals and field supportEffective project coordination through all design phases-from schematic through CD and CAQualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering3+ years of experience in electrical building system design (commercial or institutional preferred)PE licensure (or in progress) is a plusStrong understanding of emergency power systems, lighting systems, fire alarm, and power distributionCompensation & Benefits
