Job Title : Medical Lab Scientist II

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Lab Scientist II to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for determining the acceptability of specimens, performing technical procedures, and reporting accurate test results.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with the processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Work Environment

This position operates on a 7 on / 7 off schedule from Wednesday to Wednesday, with shifts from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. The work environment is dynamic and requires the use of personal protective equipment to maintain safety. Employees have the opportunity for training, education reimbursement, and a stock program once hired permanently.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Franklin, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00 / hr.
