Plan and schedule projects. Develop andsupport diagnostic firmware and device drivers such as i2c, SPI, and PCIe. Develop firmware updatetools for programmable components such as BIOS and BMC. Analyze user needs and softwarerequirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Confer withcustomers, project managers and engineers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for dataprocessing projects. Analyze, design, and develop tests and test-automation suites. Support hardwareteams with modifying U-Boot, BIOS, BMC, and diagnostic code to support functional tests forhardware validation. Conduct board bring up activities for network products to ensure readiness formanufacture. Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, $264,514 per year. Minimum Requirements Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering, or a related field, and 7 years of progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of related work experience. Must have 5 years of experience in coding using C, C++, and Python. Must have 3 years of experience in : Developing low-level device drivers and user space applications for diagnostic software using Linux; and, Communication protocols, including Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C), Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), and Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe).
