Medical Laboratory Scientist

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist to support our client’s medical facility based in Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Job title: Medical Lab Scientist in Grand Rapids, MI 49503 Now Hiring: Medical Lab Scientist – Grand Rapids, MI 49503 (Full-Time, Onsite) Location: Grand Rapids, MI 49503 Start Date: 2-3 weeks Schedule: 3rd shift MLS - There is an 8 pm - 5:30 am shift they could be scheduled too but we can be flexible if only 9 pm - 6:30 am works for them (36 hrs/week) Pay Rate: $45-$56.50/HR Note: Required Knowledge: A solid understanding of basic laboratory testing is required for this position. The successful candidate must possess good computer skills and be able to adapt to working in multiple computer systems. Must have knowledge of QC and QA, as well as knowledge of all areas of the laboratory. Key Responsibilities: Perform testing across Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation Conduct QC, run instruments, and perform routine maintenance Work as a generalist with exposure to blood bank tasks Independently manage workload during night shift Maintain accuracy, quality, and compliance within laboratory standards Requirements: BS in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biological, Chemical, or Physical Science OR qualifying CLIA alternative 1 year of relevant clinical laboratory experience (depending on education route) ASCP or AMT certification required We are only a microbiology lab - so we are looking for microbiology specimen processing, Gram stains, positive blood cultures, Antigen and PCR experience Blood bank experience preferred (not required) Epic LIS experience preferred Color vision screening required Must meet all CLIA testing personnel requirements Ability to work independently on night shift Hep B, Flu (declination accepted), and standard medical screenings required Reliable transportation is a must.
