Job description

We are seeking skilled and dedicated Anesthesiologists for a locum tenens assignment starting in April 2025 . This opportunity offers a collaborative and supportive environment, focusing on both supervision and direct patient care. Below are the details of the assignment :

Assignment Overview :

  • Location : Near Piney Point, Maryland
  • Start Date : April 7, 2025
  • Duration : Ongoing
  • Schedule : Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM
  • Practice Setting : Inpatient
  • Number of Providers Needed : 2

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform general and regional anesthesia for a variety of procedures.
  • Supervise Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and handle your own cases as needed.
  • Provide care for a wide range of surgical cases including :

    • Complex orthopedic, vascular, and neurosurgical procedures

  • Obstetrical and thoracic cases
  • Epidural and spinal anesthesia
  • Manage post-operative pain through techniques such as extremity blocks and epidural steroids.

    • Facility Highlights :

  • Trauma Level : Level III
  • Operating Rooms : 14
  • EMR System : Epic
  • Support Staff : Collaborative team including CRNAs and other professionals.

    • Requirements :

  • Board Certification : Must be board-certified in Anesthesiology.
  • Licensure : Active Maryland license or eligibility for IMLC.
  • Certifications : ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and ABLS required.
  • Credentialing Timeframe : Approximately 90 days.
