Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty : Pharmacist

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 10H Nights, 9 p.m. - 7 : 30 a.m., Monday night through Sunday on a 7 on / 7 off schedule

Guaranteed Hours : 72 hours per two weeks

Experience : Minimum 1 year

License : Possession of a current Illinois Pharmacist License or Letter of Authority from the Department of Professional Regulation in the State of Illinois

Certifications : BLS

Must-Have : Experience in an acute care setting using Allscripts - Sunrise charting system

Job Description :

• Help patients utilize medications effectively and ensure the right patient receives the correct drug in the proper amount at the right time.
• Produce and distribute products with accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of drug and dose. Recommend changes or alternatives as needed.
• Use pharmacokinetic concepts to prescribe appropriate drug therapies requiring dosage adjustments per hospital protocol.
• Recommend appropriate lab tests and monitor values to ensure therapeutic efficacy without the development of toxicities or side effects.
• Detect and report suspected adverse drug reactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide services to different age populations, from neonate to geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional and developmental age of the individual served.
