We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our scrap yard operations. The operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating excavators equipped with pincher and grapple claw attachments to move, load, and organize scrap metal and other recyclable materials.

Key Responsibilities :

Operate excavators with pincher and grapple claw attachments to handle, sort, and load scrap metal and debris.

Safely move materials into processing areas, containers, or transport vehicles.

Assist with stockpiling, organizing, and maintaining scrap yard inventory.

Inspect equipment daily to ensure safe working conditions; report maintenance needs promptly.

Follow all site safety rules, OSHA regulations, and company policies.

Communicate with ground crew and other operators to ensure efficient workflow.

Perform routine cleanup of work areas as required.

Qualifications :

• Proven experience as an excavator operator, preferably in a scrap / recycling or construction environment.
• Experience using pincher and grapple claw attachments required.
• Strong awareness of safety procedures and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and able to follow instructions clearly.

Preferred :

OSHA safety training or certification.

Mechanical aptitude to perform basic equipment maintenance.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Ability to sit, stand, bend, and operate heavy equipment for extended periods.
