About The Position

License : Valid state license required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required

Must-Have :

Experience in accessing and managing ports

Understanding of aneurysms and repair

Knowledge of blood product administration

Experience in cardiac telemetry

Central line care and management skills

Chest tube management

Proficiency in interpreting arterial blood gases

Experience in telemetry monitoring

Understanding of trauma care

Experience with pre and post-operative management

Description :

The registered nurse will provide care in a stepdown intermediate care setting.

Shifts are scheduled for 12 hours during the daytime.

The nurse will be responsible for a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4 : 1.

Every other weekend and holiday shifts will be required.

The unit focuses on adults and geriatric patients with various diagnoses including pneumonia, sepsis, congestive heart failure, and post-surgical care.

Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services.

Travelers must have prior experience with Cerner or similar charting systems.

Professional conduct is of utmost importance due to sensitivity in assignments.

The registered nurse must be willing to float to other units as needed.

All certifications must be obtained prior to the start of the assignment.

Understanding and following compliance regulations is required.

Conduct issues may result in immediate contract termination.
