• STRONG Neuro Critical Care Background, not just general ICU
• MUST have 2 YEARS in NEURO ICU
• REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP : Minimum Years of Experience : 2 years Experience Required. Traveler Experience : Unit WILL NOT ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers Locals Accepted / Rate Difference : Yes Skills : Vents, IV Start, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Central line care / management, Continuous IV sedation, CVA / Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), ICP Monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Isolation Precautions / Use of PPE, Lumbar Drain experience
• Strong Neuro experience, MUST BE 2 YEARS, NO LESS
• STROKE Patients is one of their largest patient populations
• Certs : ACLS, BCLS, NIH PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP : Skills : Arterial line management JOB DETAILS : RATIOS : Ratios 2 : 1 (can flex up to 3 : 1 in high census and nurse must be comfortable with this if needed). Average Daily Census 11-12 SHIFT :
• 36 Hours Can Be Offered Unit Will Accept 13 Weeks! 12 HOUR NIGHTS; 18 : 45 - 07 : 15
• RTO : 7 Days MAX for Aya Auto Offer
• Call Requirement : NONE Float Requirement : YES Weekend Requirement : EVERY OTHER WEEKEND PATIENT DIAGNOSES : We are a comprehensive stroke center. Patient population : strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic [SAH]), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling / clipping, seizures, Depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Drains used : EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring) SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS : Comprehensive Stroke Center SPECIAL EQUIPMENT : EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM and Arctic Sun. UNIT SYSTEMS : Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR SCHEDULING TYPE : Per the Unit Needs UNIT ORIENTATION : 24.0 Hours; 2 days or 2 nights SCRUBS : Navy blue & White.
