Position Overview :

Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is seeking a Senior Manager, Distribution Strategic Sourcing to lead strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier governance for its Distribution portfolio. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies aligned with enterprise objectives while managing contracts and purchases across multiple lines of business. The position requires building and leading a high-performing team and driving process improvements, cost optimization, and supplier performance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies for the Distribution portfolio.

Lead category management, supplier governance, and cost optimization initiatives.

Manage contracts and purchase orders ranging from $500K to $10M across multiple LOBs.

Build, mentor, and lead a team of Portfolio Managers, Procurement Managers, and Category Leads.

Establish service level agreements and monitor supplier performance.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sourcing outcomes and client experience.

Lead cross-functional teams in complex sourcing initiatives and negotiations.

Oversee spend analysis, benchmarking, business case development, and contract governance.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum 8 years of sourcing or related industry experience.

Supervisory experience required.

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and cross-functional team management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

MBA or advanced degree.

Six Sigma, CPSM, or related certification.

SAP / SRM proficiency.

Strategic sourcing and project management experience.

Utility industry experience (electric and gas).

Salary Range : $151,000 – $224,000 (Bay Area) | Midpoint : $187,500

Reports to : Senior Director, Construction Services Strategic Sourcing

The Procurement organization at PG&E manages over $12B in annual spend, providing sourcing, strategic procurement, supplier relationship management, compliance, and field support services. This role contributes directly to optimizing value for PG&E while maintaining high standards of governance and operational excellence.

Work Model : Hybrid (remote office and Oakland, CA, based on business needs).
