Responsibilities Position is in the Operating Room of a hospital Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM with late call coverage Expect on-call requirements : weekdays 8 PM-6 AM; weekends are divided into 6 AM-6 PM or 6 PM-6 AM shifts Call response time is required within 1 hour Floating may be required within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals Team covers PACU responsibilities when applicable Assignment length is 14 weeks General OR duties including intraoperative patient care and assisting the surgical team Call expectation is 2-3 shifts per every 6-week schedule period Expect to complete orientation modules during onboarding, with annual refreshers as required If previously employed at this health system, rehire eligibility will be checked by HR Must be gone for at least 90 days to be considered as a traveler if previously employed Specific recovery and PACU floating protocols apply, particularly outside of regular hours Requirements Active KY or compact state RN license required at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Level 1 trauma experience required for most units At least one reference from a charge nurse or supervisor required for consideration No local candidates residing within 75 miles will be considered Candidates with licensure hits will not be accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-630048.
