Job descriptionLead and maintain the PPAP process and support quality improvement initiatives. Work with cross-functional teams to implement quality tools : PFMEA, Control Plans, Gauge R&R, and 6-Sigma methods. Analyze quality data (scrap, rework, capacity) and drive corrective actions. Facilitate 8D problem-solving , root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Conduct internal and external audits , supporting IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and customer-specific standards. Support APQP activities and new product launches. Review inspection methods, tooling, and measurement systems. Act as a key liaison with customers and represent the plant in quality meetings.

We are seeking a Quality Engineer - Automotive Domain to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI.
🔹 Must-Have Qualifications :
- Bachelor degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a medium to high volume manufacturing environment preferred with respect to one or more of these areas : automated assembly equipment, complex product assemblies, mechanisms, metal and plastic forming, injection molding technologies, tooling, fixtures and gauges
- Knowledge of automotive audit such as VDA6.3, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, specific Customer and Layered
- US Citizen or Green Card Holder only.
- ✈️ Up to 25% travel
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality systems, PPAP processes, and customer interaction within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
