Job descriptionProvide call coverage for head and spine cases, including consults, operations, and procedures from ED and inpatient requests Manage trauma cases at a facility Round on service patients each morning (4-10 patients) Conduct post-operative follow-up in the outpatient clinic Perform bread and butter neurosurgical procedures involving head and spine Board certification in Neurological Surgery required Illinois state medical license required Temporary credentials available to facilitate January start 30-minute response time required during call shifts Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Whether you need long term coverage for your practice, short term vacation coverage, or anything in between – you can trust Barton Associates to provide the flexible staffing solutions your organization needs to thrive. About The Position
We are seeking a board-certified Neurosurgeon for a 14-day locum tenens assignment in Illinois starting Jan 5, 2026. This opportunity features 24-hour call shifts with responsibilities including call coverage, rounding, and post-op follow-up for head and spine cases at a trauma facility.
