Responsibilities Work in a short-term acute care hospital on the Stepdown unit Patient ratios are 1 : 4-6 Night shifts (3x12 hours), 19 : 00–07 : 30 Float among all adult acute care units as needed Level 1 Trauma, Magnet, and teaching hospital environment Uses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience required Must work three weekends per four-week schedule No on-call required Provide advanced nursing care for stepdown and telemetry patients with complex needs Must be available for two of three major holidays, including the day before and after RTO (requested time off) is limited to 5 days per contract and must be provided with application Local candidates are accepted with no radius restrictions and same pay as travelers Hunter Green scrubs are required Free parking is provided with badge access to the parking garage Must complete pre-start modules as assigned Returning staff must wait 12 months before returning Requirements Active MI RN license required by start date; compact licenses not accepted At least two years of recent Stepdown or Telemetry RN experience required Current BCLS (AHA) required Travel nursing experience required Experience in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required Proof of high school education required Epic EMR experience required Telemetry experience required Preferred certifications include ACLS, CPI, NIH Stroke Scale, and experience with ventilator management and conscious sedation First-time travelers will not be considered Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624056.
