The Supply Chain team is looking for motivated professionals to facilitate the distribution of our great products to customers and consumers. These personnel can analyze production metrics against market needs in Supply & Demand Planning, focus on product transportation through Logistics, procure goods and services, or ensure the shelves of your local grocery store are stocked by Direct Store Delivery. The Corporate MRO Buyer is responsible for purchasing materials, equipment, supplies, and services in accordance with prescribed purchasing regulations and procedures. This position optimizes price, delivery and terms in accordance with all policies.

Core Responsibilities

Creates purchase requisitions. Rationalizes inventory positions to optimize corporate working capital.

Evaluates existing suppliers and makes recommendations on new suppliers.

Assists in managing the RFQ and RFP process to determine commodity price and length of strategic agreements.

Issues purchase orders; follows up and expedites as necessary.

Identifies potential suppliers and issues requests for quotations.

Monitors market trends and conditions.

Participate in brainstorming across various facilities.

May facilitate weekly calls, publishes meeting recaps, and follow-ups as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

Capable of communicating and expressing ideas clearly and concisely, in both written and oral formats.

Strong planning, organization, and execution skills.

Knowledge of ERP or MRP systems, Internet, Spreadsheet, Word and Excel software.

or APICS certification.

Strong negotiation skills.

Must have a sold understanding of production planning within an MRP system.

Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.

Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

20% travel required
