Required to supervise the midlevel on duty

ED staff respond to house codes

House codes secondary to ED emergencies : yes, also have hospitalist responding and running the codes, anesthesia available for backup during the day, attend codes to provide airway support

Hospitalist handles admissions mostly, if putting in orders it is just a pso to order bed and some limited bridging orders

L and D has a clinic

ED responsible for monitoring / supervising Paramedics / ambulance by radio

Air ambulance response time & travel time to referral center : can get here in around 20-30 min

24 hour availability for Radiology : no MRI, ct xr yes

24 hour availability for Laboratory

Blood Bank-certified by AABB

Pathology

24 hour availability for the OR

Surgical Services : Ortho

Description of Consultants : Cardiologist

EKG Interpretations : cardiologist does official interp, have printed ekgs to sign off on in er

Requirements

Board Certified in either EM or FP with ER experience (2+ years)

Provider must be local

Must have clean background

DEA

Active MI License

ACLS / ATLS / PALS (for non EM boarded physicians)

BLS

Support Staff

1 full time Midlevel and 2 prns

4 full time physicians and 1 prn
