Your Role - Making a Splash in Water Resources Engineering
As a Water Resources Engineer, you'll be a key player in delivering high-profile, innovative projects that showcase your skills and push the boundaries of engineering. Your responsibilities will include :
Hydrologic & Hydraulic Analysis : Perform complex analyses for public and private clients, including MMSD, MWRD, IDOT, IDNR , and more, helping to solve real-world water management challenges.Stormwater Management Design : Design stormwater systems, green infrastructure, and sustainable solutions that make a lasting impact on the environment.Technical Report Preparation : Write comprehensive reports such as Hydraulic Reports, Stormwater Reports , and Green Infrastructure Memos to communicate your designs and findings to clients and regulatory bodies.Contract Documents Development : Prepare construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water management systems and infrastructure projects.Floodplain Management : Lead floodplain management tasks, ensuring projects comply with all regulatory requirements while mitigating flood risks.Collaboration : Work closely with roadway, municipal, and civil / site design teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet our clients' needs.Fieldwork : Bring your designs to life in the field, solving challenges on-site and ensuring your projects have the desired real-world impact.Client Relations : Strengthen relationships with clients.Who You Are - A Rising Star in Water Resources Engineering
We're looking for an engineer who's eager to make an impact and grow in their career. Here's what we're seeking :
Minimum Qualifications :
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.3-7 years of experience in water resources engineering, specifically in stormwater management, hydrology, or hydraulic design.Proficiency in industry-standard software like HydroCAD , HEC-RAS , HEC-HMS , and other design tools.Strong understanding of floodplain management , stormwater design , and green infrastructure .Ability to prepare clear and concise technical reports.A solid foundation in project management , with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Preferred Qualifications :
PE (Professional Engineer) license or the desire to obtain one.Experience working with public agencies and understanding their regulatory requirements.A collaborative spirit and a desire to work in a team-focused environment.Why You'll Love It Here :
