Claycomb Associates Architects is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for K-12 Education to play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects within the educational sector. This position involves collaborating with project managers, contractors, and educational stakeholders to deliver high-quality facilities that meet the needs of students and educators. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for monitoring project timelines, budgets, and compliance with safety regulations, ensuring that all aspects of the project align with the educational goals. By facilitating communication and coordination among various teams, this role directly contributes to creating safe and conducive learning environments. Ultimately, the Assistant Project Manager will help shape the future of education by supporting the development of innovative and sustainable school facilities.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Project Management, Architecture or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in project management or construction within the commercial / education sector.
  • Pursuit of architectural licensure preferred but not required

Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the planning and execution of K-12 construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Monitor project progress, including timelines and budgets, and report on status to senior management.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including school administrators, community members, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the construction process.
  • Skills :

    The required skills for this role include strong organizational and communication abilities, which are essential for coordinating multiple stakeholders and ensuring project milestones are met. Proficiency in project management software will be utilized daily to track progress and manage budgets effectively. Attention to detail is critical for monitoring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
