Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with acute care experience and a current IL OT license for a flexible day shift position in an acute and outpatient hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an acute care hospital and outpatient therapy setting
  • Flexible day shifts offered, including options for 4x10s, 5x8s, or 4x9s schedules
  • Monday through Friday schedule with occasional late day requirements
  • On-call rotation required every 4 weeks for coverage as needed
  • Floating required between acute care and outpatient OT as needed
  • Patient charting performed using Epic EMR
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • No local travelers accepted; candidates must live at least 70 miles from the facility
  • All clinicians must complete OSHA respirator clearance and be clean shaven for FIT testing prior to start
  • Allied staff must complete approximately 1 hour of pre-start modules, to be recorded on transcripts
  • Free parking available in parking garage
  • Staff may not work past 1 year as a traveler and must take a 6 month break before returning
  • Requested time off should be submitted up front for consideration

    • Requirements

  • Active IL OT license required for consideration
  • Current BLS and CPR certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
  • Two professional references from supervisors within the past 2 years
