A growing machine shop is seeking CNC Machinist with knowledge and experience on turning machines operator and / or set-up. Be proficient in the use of lathe. Programming abilities are a plus - abilities to read, understand, and edit existing programs. Able to maintain close tolerances and achieving a high finish standard in a production. Experience in working with a vast array of materials including Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Brass, Copper; Steel among other types of metals. Possible direct placement or temp-to-hire. Day shift.
Responsibilities :
- Operate machinery per the appropriate work instructions.
- Perform set-up and programming (if trained)
- Use and maintain a variety of precision measuring / inspection equipment
- Complete 1st piece inspection of part and maintain consistent quality checks
- Conduct daily machine maintenance of machine and equipment and maintain records.
