Job Summary
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records of direct production supplies and assisting in shipping operations. This individual will support both warehouse and logistics functions, ensuring timely and accurate shipments, maintaining stock levels, and following all safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Perform routine inventory checks of packaging materials, polyethylene sheeting, and related production components.
- Track stock levels and coordinate with procurement or supervisors for timely replenishment.
- Maintain accurate records using warehouse software systems.
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies or variances.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth material flow and accurate reporting.
Shipping Support
Assist in preparing and packaging outgoing shipments according to customer specifications.Verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and order details.Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.Organize and stage shipments for efficient loading.Ensure all outgoing products meet quality and accuracy standards.General Duties
Follow all company safety and operational policies.Maintain an organized, clean workspace.Communicate effectively with production, warehouse, and logistics staff.Support additional warehouse duties as assigned.Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.Experience in manufacturing or packaging environments a plus.Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.Basic computer skills; familiarity with inventory or warehouse management systems.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Skills & Competencies

Lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently.Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods (8–12 hours per shift).Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely (certification preferred but not required).Ability to work in varying temperatures depending on season and warehouse conditions.Work Environment
Exposure to industrial warehouse conditions including noise, machinery, and moving equipment.Required use of PPE such as steel-toe boots, safety vests, gloves, and hearing protection.Fast-paced, team-oriented setting with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.Schedule & Pay
Full-time, Monday–Friday 8am -5pm1st and 2nd shifts available (specific hours discussed during interview)Competitive hourly rate $21-$23 / hr based on experience
