Tax Supervisor

We are a Top Regional CPA firm headquartered out of the Farmington, CT area and have been in business for 40+ years. With just over 20 employees, we work in a variety of industries including Real Estate, Healthcare, Retail, and Manufacturing. This position is remote with a primary focus on High Net-Worth / Ultra High Net-Worth Individuals.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to oversee the financial operations of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

What You Will Be Doing

Works with the tax team to prepare and review returns

Provides first level reviews for staff and seniors, some second level review as well

Handles routine client tax questions, and works with clients to collect necessary information for tax return completion and compliance

Completes research and other special assignments / tasks as needed

Recognizes and informs senior management of opportunities to increase level and types of services to clients

Ensures professional development through ongoing education and obtaining additional certifications as appropriate

Stays informed about firm capabilities other than tax compliance area, and promotes these activities to clients when appropriate

Helps with internal trainings and programs, oversees schedules for tax staff

What You Need for this Position

At least 5 years in public accounting with an emphasis in taxation

At least 3 years as a tax senior

Experienced with both Individual and Business tax

CPA license or currently taking the exams

M.S. in Taxation is preferred
