Department Details

Join a friendly and engaging team at the Internal Medicine Clinic! This impactful role involves caring for and managing chronic and complex illnesses for adult and elderly patients. Your responsibilities will include preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, and supporting nursing staff.

Work Schedule : Monday - Friday, with shift options from 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM or 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM.

No weekends or holidays.

Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for providing essential patient care services under the direct supervision of licensed clinical professionals. Key duties include :

  • Measuring height, weight, blood pressure, visual acuity, and conducting drug screens and point of care urinalysis.
  • Preparing patient treatment areas and cleaning medical equipment.
  • Maintaining patient care areas and monitoring medical inventory levels.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve patient care within registries.

Successful candidates will be self-motivated, able to work well in team settings, and maintain excellent interpersonal skills amidst multiple distractions.

Qualifications

High school graduate or GED preferred, but not mandatory. A minimum of six months of experience is preferred, particularly in a clinic setting. Knowledge of healthcare terminology, anatomy, and medical equipment is advantageous.

Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or registration as a Nursing Assistant (NA) in North Dakota is required within four months of employment if not previously certified. Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers must be obtained within the first 60 days of employment.
