We have a position for a Java with Mainframe / DB2 / Oracle role in Atlanta, GA. Please find the job description below for this position.

Role : Java with Mainframe / DB2 / Oracle

Location : Atlanta, GA

Position Summary :

Consultant Application Programmer H5

  • Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions. These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools.
  • Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies. May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives.
  • Serves as a fully seasoned / proficient technical resource. Will not have direct reports but may lead projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. May collaborate with external programmers to coordinate the delivery of software applications. Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities.
  • Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants. Typically requires 5-7 years of experience.

Required Skills :

  • 5+ years of relevant IT software experience (Development SDLC lifecycle)
  • 5+ years of experience in JAVA development
  • Knowledge of Spring, Spring MVC and Spring Batch
  • Strong Core Java Skills
  • Experience building REST web services is preferred
  • Experience in WebServices (JAXRPC or JAXWS) technologies and Development approaches.
  • Basic Knowledge of XML Schema and Processing Technologies (Parsers, JAXB, XSLT etc)
  • Good Understanding of Core Java Patterns and J2EE Design Patterns ( like Adapters, Business Objects, Delegates, Service Locator, Singleton, DAO, DTO)
  • Atleast 2 of the following : Websphere / Weblogic / Tomcat / JBOSS IDE - Eclipse JSP and JavaScript
  • Bachelor degree in IT related field or Science Engineering
  • Quick learner and self-starter who requires minimal supervision to excel in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to acquire business domain knowledge quickly and effectively to take a role of subject matter expert for multiple applications
  • Deep understanding of the software development and support process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in database background on one or more of these databases : Mainframe, DB2, Oracle etc.

    • DESIRED SKILLS :

  • Mule and production support experience

    • PRIMARY SKILL : DB2

    SECONDARY SKILL : IBM Mainframe Clearcase
