Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Vice President, Head of Capital Markets & Treasury to lead all aspects of our financing, funding, and secondary market activities. This role will oversee the management of our warehouse banking relationships , the execution and administration of active and future securitization programs , and the trading of whole loans across both Residential Transitional Loans (RTL) and Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) products.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in structured finance and mortgage capital markets, combined with strong leadership capabilities to mentor and grow our capital markets and treasury teams. This role is central to ensuring optimal funding execution, building durable investor relationships, and supporting the company’s growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Markets Strategy & Execution
Oversee the company’s warehouse facilities, ensuring efficient utilization, compliance, and covenant management.Lead securitization programs from structuring through execution and ongoing management, including future program development.Execute whole loan sales strategies for RTL and DSCR products, optimizing economics, liquidity, and counterparty diversification.Track market trends, funding costs, and investor appetite to drive informed financing strategies.Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for warehouse banks, securitization partners, investors, and rating agencies.Deepen existing financing and investor relationships while cultivating new partnerships to broaden market access.Represent the firm in negotiations and industry engagements to strengthen the company’s market presence.Treasury & Liquidity Oversight
Manage treasury operations, including daily cash management, collateral optimization, and liquidity forecasting.Align capital allocation across warehouse lines, securitizations, and whole loan executions to support company growth.Partner with accounting and operations to ensure timely reporting and accurate cash and funding controls.Reporting & Analytics
Develop and maintain robust reporting suites to provide visibility into capital markets and treasury performance.Produce and deliver weekly updates to leadership on warehouse utilization, securitization pipeline, whole loan sales, and liquidity.Lead a monthly business review (MBR) process highlighting key KPIs, market activity, funding costs, and strategic initiatives.Partner with finance, servicing, and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting for internal and external stakeholders.Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and train the Capital Markets and Treasury teams, providing guidance on technical skills and career development.Instill a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration across the group.Work cross-functionally with origination, operations, and servicing to align funding and liquidity strategies with business objectives.Qualifications
10+ years of experience in mortgage capital markets, securitization, warehouse finance, or whole loan trading .Proven success managing warehouse facilities, executing securitizations, and negotiating whole loan transactions.Strong understanding of structured finance, secondary mortgage markets, and investor requirements.Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills.Demonstrated leadership and experience mentoring high-performing teams.Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, CFA, or related advanced degree a plus.Seniority level
