Job Title : Pharmacy Technician (Auburn, MA)
Overview : Accurately prepare and package medications under the supervision of a pharmacist for distribution to Long-Term Care (LTC) facilities, diligently adhering to all established departmental policies, procedures, and professional pharmacy regulations to fulfill physician orders.
Responsibilities / Job Duties :
- Prioritize and execute pharmacist-assigned tasks, ensuring accurate and efficient preparation of new and refill medication orders under direct supervision.
- Manage the automated dispensing workflow by processing scheduled daily cycle fills, performing quality assurance checks on medication strips, and maintaining accurate machine software data and consumables.
- Conduct daily floor operations, including packaging medications in the pharmacy software, preparing unit dose and external compounds, and monitoring / stocking pharmacy inventory.
- Adhere strictly to all pharmacy policies and procedures and ensure all scheduled medication deliveries meet daily deadlines.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :
1 year of pharmacy technician experienceState certified as a pharmacy technician - must be willing to get the national certification within 6 monthsHS Diploma or GEDAbility to work in a flexible scheduleSchedule / Shift : Shift Rotations
Monday-Friday (40 hours a week)
6 : 30am-3 : 00pm
7 : 00am- 3 : 30pm
11 : 00am - 7 : 30pm
2 : 30pm - 11pm (Shift differential offered)
Every other weekend 8 : 30am-6pm
