Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting and Finance Assistant Manager to join our team in an interim capacity, with a clear career path to transition into the Accounting and Finance Manager role within two years. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take the next step in their career while working closely with our current Manager during the transition period.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and support the organization’s accounting and finance functions.
  • Manage daily accounting operations :

o General ledger

o Journal entries

o Account reconciliations

o Troubleshooting and resolving accounting issues

  • Perform cash management functions :
  • o Disbursements (incl. credit card and foreign exchange transactions)

    o Cash flow monitoring and forecasting

  • Lead month-end closing processes.
  • Prepare financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Support external financial audits by coordinating with auditors, internal teams, and corporate departments.
  • Collaborate with external tax firms on tax matters.
  • Work with corporate controlling teams to support annual budgeting and financial planning.
  • Continuously review and improve accounting processes and controls.
  • Manage or participate in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives.
  • Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (minimum requirement).
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience working with ERP systems. (Knowledge of BaaN and SAP preferred; SAP transition experience a plus.)
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and general corporate tax principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical thinking and effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work “hands-on” in a dynamic environment.
  • High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and a strong work ethic.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
