🧪 Staff Pharmacist – Retail Pharmacy

Position Summary :

The Staff Pharmacist plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient dispensing of medications in a retail pharmacy environment. This position is responsible for providing exceptional patient care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting the pharmacy team in daily operations.

• \tPrescription Verification & Dispensing
• \tReview and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
• \tDispense medications in accordance with federal and state regulations.
• \tPatient Counseling & Education
• \tProvide clear, compassionate counseling on medication usage, side effects, and storage.
• \tOffer guidance on over-the-counter (OTC) products and general health inquiries.
• \tRegulatory Compliance
• \tEnsure adherence to all pharmacy laws, HIPAA regulations, and company policies.
• \tMaintain accurate records for controlled substances and prescription logs.
• \tInventory Management
• \tMonitor stock levels, order medications, and manage expired or recalled products.
• \tCollaborate with suppliers and pharmacy technicians to maintain inventory accuracy.
• \tTeam Collaboration
• \tSupervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and interns.
• \tSupport the Pharmacy Manager in achieving operational goals and customer satisfaction.
• \tClinical Services
• \tAdminister immunizations and health screenings (e.g., blood pressure, cholesterol).
• \tParticipate in medication therapy management (MTM) and wellness programs.
