Security Guard in Staten Island

Duties must include, but not limited to, security patrols, enforcing security procedures, protecting property from theft, sabotage, fire or accidents.

Responds to calls for assistance, writes reports on accidents and incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations.

Provides needed assistance to customers, residents, employees and visitors in accordance to company procedures.

Serve as a training officer to new security staff and perform other related duties as may be assigned by the security supervisor or manager.

Work inside and outside the property or installation, with exposure to inclement weather conditions and unpredictable crisis situations. Some work may require physical activities such as lifting and kneeling.

Requirements :

Possess exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette; prior experience is a plus.

Able to multitask, write legible comprehensive incident reports, observe and record information, apply attention to detail and people skills, display vigilance, focus and diligence.

Must be a good communicator, both verbal and written, must be capable of handling typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively.

Maintain high standards of attendance and punctuality.

Maintain neat and professional appearance at all times.

Exhibit a friendly and professional demeanor.

Provide exemplary service in a manner consistent with the values and service mission of the company and the client.

Qualifications :

Must have valid NYS Security License.

Prior contract security, military or law enforcement experience is a plus

Able to work in a team-oriented environment.

Open availability including possible weekends and holidays.

Must be at least 18 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements .

Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills.

Ability to start work immediately upon approval.
