Certified Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a Specialty Clinic Coding Specialist (Full Time) Days.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze medical documentation to assign appropriate diagnoses and procedure codes

Adhere to ethical coding standards and official coding guidelines

Utilize ICD-10-CM and CPT / HCPCS coding classification systems effectively

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

High school diploma required

Prior coding experience in ICD-10 CM and HCPCS / CPT coding

Certifications such as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, or CIRCC required or to be completed within 6 months of employment

Working knowledge of MS-DRG's, APC's, MPFS / RVU's, POA's, and HAC's preferred

A.S. or B.S. in Health Information Technology or Management preferred
