Client Care Representative (Staff Assistant III)

The Sorenson Center for Clinical Excellence is seeking a Client Care Representative (Staff Assistant III) who will primarily support the Speech and Language service line within the Speech and Hearing Clinic. The Client Care Representative is responsible for a variety of activities related to service line operations that are primarily client-facing. This individual will work within the Speech and Language service line to serve as the first point of contact for clients seeking services. The individual will serve as a liaison between clients and the care team, assist with continued care, and aid with clinical triage to Sorenson Center clinics and community resources, as appropriate. The individual will provide some training on clinic procedures and operations to new clinicians as well as hourly employees. This can be a fast-paced job that requires multitasking. This position reports to the Center Operations Manager. This position will follow the standard 8 : 00pm to 5 : 00pm Monday through Friday university schedule. The position is available for an immediate start. This position is contingent upon funding. Responsibilities

• Communicate with diverse client population about healthcare services, appointments, insurance, clinic paperwork, and session payments
• Function as liaison between providers and clients to quickly address client concerns
• Communicate with external medical facilities and providers
• Submit and process referrals and prior authorizations alongside the Sorenson Center billing team
• Collect basic demographic and referral information to screen clients for program eligibility alongside clinic directors
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and referrals within Sorenson Center service lines
• Assist with client and operational needs across other Sorenson Center service lines
