Job Title : Senior Analyst, Data Governance

Location-Type : Hybrid (Houston, TX – onsite Tues–Thurs, remote Mon / Fri)

Start Date Is : ASAP

Duration : 6-month contract with potential to extend

Compensation Range : $45 / hr – $55 / hr

Job Description :

Drive the implementation of data governance best practices and tools within a federated enterprise environment, focusing on Atlan and SharePoint.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities :

Lead data catalog implementation and Atlan pilot initiatives

Act as an advisor across business units to assess and improve data governance maturity

Manage and maintain the Data Governance SharePoint site

Conduct interviews and workshops on data governance frameworks

Develop policies, standards, and documentation to support enterprise-wide data governance

Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance data literacy, quality, discovery, and management

Requirements : Must-Haves :

5–7 years in data governance roles

Hands-on experience with Atlan or similar data catalog tool

Experience managing SharePoint for data governance

Strong understanding of data governance pillars : literacy, discovery, management, quality

Ability to develop and implement standards and policies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong initiative and ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Nice-to-Haves :

Experience in a federated data governance model
