Position Overview

The Senior Project Engineer will support the Project Manager in the delivery of assigned projects. This is a hands-on role that involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, managing project information, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations on site.

Compensation : $85,000 – $140,000 annually (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with architects, owners, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure projects run efficiently.
  • Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, and other critical project documentation.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, from procurement through billing and project closeout.
  • Act as a central point of communication between project stakeholders.
  • Ensure technical compliance with drawings, codes, and specifications.
  • Draft and manage change orders, subcontracts, and other contractual documents.
  • Provide estimating support where required.
  • Monitor quality control activities and report findings to the Project Manager or Superintendent.
  • Maintain accurate logs for change orders, submittals, and other project details.
  • Support and develop junior engineers and interns through training and feedback.
  • Assist in managing schedules in coordination with the Superintendent.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction project support or supervision.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications; experience with Primavera, Timberline, Prolog, or similar software preferred.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit is an advantage.
  • Understanding of LEAN and BIM construction practices.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
