Position Overview
Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor / Planner is responsible for leading and supervising a group of E / I technicians to maintain process equipment with a strong emphasis on safe work practices. The position will involve Monday through Friday, day shifts with additional hours required to support our 24 / 7 manufacturing operation, including weekend coverage as necessary.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain a daily focus on the safety of self and others. Ensure that all safety training is accurate and up to date.
- Facilitate weekly planning meetings with operations.
- Perform routine and shutdown work order planning and scheduling functions as required to maintain reliable equipment operation.
- Use SAP management tool to create work plans, order parts, update bill of materials, document work history, and perform time confirmation.
- Apply and expand new technology and industry learning toward the work of equipment and process reliability improvement.
- Assist in the refinement of essential care routes for area technicians.
- Evolve reliability work from reactionary & time based to a condition based maintenance process.
- Develop and update detailed shutdown schedules for outages with the mechanical planner.
- Manage safety incident backlog and ensure safety follow-up with crews.
- Provide extended coverage for equipment downtime periods, holidays, and weekends as scheduled. Will be included on weekend coverage rotation.
Required Experience
A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent training and / or experience is preferred.A minimum of 3+ years of industrial E&I maintenance experience, preferably in a paper mill or manufacturing environment.Previous experience in E / I planning or in a supervisory role is highly desirable.Familiarity with SAP or other maintenance management systems is a plus.Preferred Experience
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects.Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including hourly staff and management.Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Projects, and SAP.Familiarity with process and electrical print documents preferred.Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and handle competing priorities effectively.Attributes for Success
