Senior Medical Coder – Podiatry Location : Remote (must reside in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Georgia, or New Mexico) Compensation & Schedule

• $35 / hour (Non-Certified)
• $39 / hour (Certified)
• Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (1-hour meal break)
• W2, Temp-to-Hire
• Start Date : November 24, 2025 ROLE IMPACT The Senior Medical Coder ensures high-quality and accurate coding for professional services across podiatry and orthopedic specialties. This position supports revenue integrity by validating code compliance, resolving denials, and partnering with providers to align documentation with payer standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Code professional services, E / M visits, and surgical procedures with correct ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Apply appropriate modifiers and ensure complete charge capture
• Resolve coding denials by analyzing and correcting discrepancies
• Communicate coding updates and documentation feedback to providers
• Meet productivity and quality standards while working independently and with remote teams REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Specific coding experience in Podiatry
• An active certification in one of the following : AAPC (CPC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCA)
• 2+ years' multi-specialty physician coding experience (hospital or outpatient clinic)
• Proficiency in utilization of Athena and Cerner software
• High school diploma or equivalent required CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS
• Athena, Cerner, EPIC, Meditech
• Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint PREFERRED SKILLS
• Orthopedic coding experience
• Strong understanding of Medicare / Medicaid / Commercial payer guidelines
