Summary
The Coordinator serves as the lead facilitator to the departments, physicians, external agencies, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals throughout the Parkview Health System to support the Neurosciences platform for stroke. The Coordinator ensures the care exceeds guidelines and the comprehensive medical record accurately reflects clinical treatment, decisions, and diagnoses. The Coordinator will be responsible for reporting outcomes, marketing and promotion of stroke programs throughout Parkview Health and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. The Coordinator will provide education to all care providers to ensure ongoing compliance.
Education
Must have a BSN from accredited program. Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA). Master's preferred.
Licensure / Certification
Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana. NIHSS license required.
Experience
3+ years of nursing experience with 2 years of stroke specific experience including knowledge of stroke protocols and guidelines.
