Sports Reporter

SPORTS REPORTER

The sports reporter is responsible for taking scores, covering and writing feature stories for the print and online edition. He or she will pitch story ideas and must cover assignments, as given. Will occasionally have to take photos rewrite media releases and write non-sports stories when needed.

Candidate must be able to type, take notes, and ask questions to understand the issues that he / or she will be reporting on. Must be able to drive to assignments.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of five years' related experience
• Effective communication skills both written and orally

Preferred Qualifications :

Salary is $15 - $17 per hour depending on experience.
