Job OverviewA law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its team in Anchorage, AK. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated legal team, assisting clients in complex legal matters and managing a team of paralegals. The role requires exceptional family law experience and versatility in other legal areas to contribute to the firm's growth.DutiesExecute case strategy with attorneys, paralegals, clients, and support staff.Manage high-level cases by maintaining contact with involved parties and preparing for depositions.Draft letters, review court documents, and write discovery responses.Keep clients informed by maintaining regular communication.Perform weekly case audits with the legal team.Organize files, monitor calendars, and meet deadlines.Research case law and input information into case management software.Other responsibilities as assigned.RequirementsAdmitted to practice law in Alaska or able to transfer.Background in civil litigation and / or court proceedings beneficial.Knowledge in other areas of law is beneficial.EducationJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.CertificationsBar License (Required).SkillsExcellent communication skills.Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.Benefits401(k) with employer contribution.Health, vision, and dental insurance.Flexible schedule.Opportunities for career growth.Liberal time off with notice.
