ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details : \n

  • Work 12-hour shifts with options for day shift (7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM) or night shift (7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM)

    • \n

  • Every other weekend schedule required

    • \n

  • No on-call responsibilities

    • \n

  • Patient ratio of 1 : 4-5

    • \n

  • 3+ years of recent ICU experience required

    • \n

  • Previous charge role experience preferred to demonstrate multitasking and independent thinking abilities

    • \n

  • Must have friendly, honest, flexible personality with strong multitasking skills

    • \n

  • Compassionate approach with ability to work well with others and demonstrate sense of urgency when needed

    • \n

  • Possess superb critical thinking skills

    • \n

  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

    • \n

  • Work with Phillips monitors, HillRom beds, Omnicell, GE EKG machine, Lifepak 20e defibrillator, Lucas device, Verathon bladder scanner

    • \n

  • Use Meditech Expanse EMR system

    • \n

  • Perform STEMI protocol, Stroke protocol, Conscious Sedation, Chest Tubes, Codes, and Intubation procedures

    • \n

  • Navy blue scrubs required

    • \n

  • No floating to other units

    • \n\n

    This healthcare organization operates a 10-bed ICU unit located on the 2nd floor of the main campus building. The facility maintains a staff of 12 professionals providing critical care services with modern medical equipment and comprehensive protocols. The unit specializes in cardiac emergencies, stroke care, and various critical care procedures, offering a supportive team environment focused on high-quality patient outcomes.
