SUPERVISOR : Director of Donor Services
STATUS : Hourly / Non-Exempt
PAY RANGE : $24.00 - $27.00 Hourly
The base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other factors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Development Database Specialist is responsible for managing the donor database, processing donor gifts and information, and generating essential reports, queries, and donor acknowledgments. This includes accurate data entry, creating gift batches using Import-o-Matic and manual methods, handling routine communications, and managing data imports and exports between Raiser’s Edge, Classy, and Luminate Online. Additionally, the role entails maintaining database integrity through cleanup activities, generating timely donor acknowledgment letters and gift reports, and responding to requests for financial contribution information.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Database Management : Manages all aspects of the fund development database, including data entry and ensuring all information is input accurately. Creates gift batches using Import-o-Matic and manual methods. Imports and exports data to and from our databases, Raiser’s Edge, Classy, and Luminate Online, ensuring data accuracy. Maintains database integrity through cleanup activities such as duplicate management.
Donor Relations : Handles routine phone calls and emails. Generates accurate and timely donor acknowledgment letters. Generates monthly and weekly gift reports. Fills requests for information regarding financial contributions to the Foodbank.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred : A minimum of 3 years of experience in database management within a nonprofit environment.
Preferred : 2-4 years of fundraising experience in nonprofit development.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
Ability to multitask effectively.
Creative problem-solver with an innovative approach to development.
Excellent time management skills.
Preferred : Advanced knowledge of Excel, including VBA programming.
Preferred : Knowledge of Microsoft Access and SAP Crystal Reports.
Preferred : Moderate proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word.
Preferred : Experience with Raiser’s Edge, Luminate Online, and / or Import-o-Matic.
Possess a valid California Driver’s License and have access to a reliable, insured vehicle. Must be able to travel within Los Angeles County as required. Work assignments may include various facilities and hubs across Los Angeles County, including locations in Los Angeles and the City of Industry, CA. Flexibility to commute between Food Bank facilities as needed is essential.
