Job Description
On Line Design is looking for a full-time Fragrance Encapsulation Slurry Technician, in Hebron, KY working on-site. In this role, you will be responsible for the hands-on execution of microencapsulation processes, focusing on the preparation and testing of fragrance slurries. You will also be asked to assist in research and development activities to create new fragrance delivery systems, ensuring product stability and performance while adhering to strict safety and quality control standards.
Responsibilities :
- Formulate microencapsulation slurries for various applications for personal care, laundry and household applications.
- Operate and maintain specialized lab equipment, such as mixing tanks, spray dryers, and other encapsulation machinery.
- Conduct various tests on prepared fragrance slurries and microcapsules to evaluate performance.
- Perform stability tests under different conditions (e.g., temperature, pH, pressure) to ensure product durability.
- Analyze capsule properties, including size distribution, encapsulation efficiency, and fragrance release profiles.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all experimental procedures, observations, and results. Record and report any deviations or inconsistencies in materials or process to the supervisor.
- Assist in preparing technical reports and presentations for the R&D team.
- Ensure all laboratory equipment is properly calibrated, cleaned, and maintained.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support the proper disposal of chemical waste in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Work closely with research scientists and the quality control team to ensure batch consistency and collaborate with production teams to scale up successful formulations from the lab to manufacturing.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field expertise working in an R&D process lab / pilot plant environment3+ years of fragrance microencapsulation experienceSolid computer skills for data entry and analysisExcellent communication and teamwork skillsLocal candidates preferred, relocation assistance will be provided if needed for the correct candidate.
