Job description

We areseeking a Board-Certified Neonatology Physician to provide high-qualityinpatient care in a Level III NICU in Wichita, Kansas. This role offers 24-hourin-house coverage for a large, busy NICU with 60 beds, providing an excellentopportunity to work alongside a supportive team of residents, nursepractitioners, and experienced neonatologists.

AssignmentDetails :

  • NICU Level : Level III (60 beds)
  • Shift Type : 24-hour in-house coverage
  • Schedule : Per diem; approximately 4-5 shifts per month
  • Services Covered : All NICU services except ECMO and heart surgery
  • Support Team : Residents and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners

KeyResponsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive care to critically ill neonates in the Level III NICU
  • Collaborate with residents, nurse practitioners, and attending neonatologists to ensure continuity and quality of care
  • Participate in daily rounds, bedside procedures, and management of NICU patients
  • Respond to neonatal emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
  • Document patient care accurately in the hospital's EMR system
  • Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives within the NICU

    • Requirements :

  • Board Certified in Neonatology ( Board Eligible not accepted )
  • Active Kansas medical license
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience in a NICU setting
