We are looking for a dedicated individual to function as a cashier and / or stocker and act in a lead capacity in the absence of the store manager or assistant store manager. The role involves assisting in setting and maintaining plan-o-grams and programs, providing exemplary customer service, and performing other duties as necessary to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and teamwork, while protecting company assets and reducing losses.

Duties and essential job functions include unloading trucks, following company work processes to receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes, stocking merchandise, rotating and facing merchandise on shelves, building merchandise displays, restocking returned and recovered merchandise, and ordering zones and drop shipment categories. The role also involves assisting customers, maintaining store cleanliness, operating cash registers, and following company policies and procedures.

Knowledge and skills required include the ability to perform mathematical calculations, knowledge of cash handling procedures, ability to perform IBM cash register functions, and effective interpersonal and communication skills. Work experience or education such as a high school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience is preferred.

Working conditions involve frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling; handling merchandise and equipment; lifting up to 40 pounds; occasional climbing; fast-paced environment; moderate noise level; occasional exposure to outside weather conditions; and occasional driving or providing own transportation.
