Job Title : Safety Engineer

Location : Stanford CA 94305

Duration : 9 Months

Pay rate : $55.00 / hr. on W2

Shift timing / schedule : Onsite 8am to 5pm

Summary

The Safety Engineer works closely with Health and Safety staff and the Maintenance and Operations (M&O) trades to create safety protocols. Procedures and special assignments.

Core duties :

• Work closely with M&O management staff to recognize identify and evaluate hazardous conditions behaviors and work practices.
• Recommend appropriate containment and corrective actions for hazard control design methods procedures and processes for all machines used in M&O.
• Develop draft safety procedures including Lock Out / Tag Out Confined Space Machine Guarding Hazardous Waste Management Mechanical Room Management etc.
• Evaluate all system safety requirements and develop quality control system for M&O management
• Conduct health and safety surveys quantitative and qualitative exposure / risk assessments and data analyses; ability to provide recommendations for exposure / risk control
• Requires high level of professionalism and problem-solving.
• Demonstrate emotional intelligence and professionalism especially in time-sensitive or high-pressure situations.
