Job Summary

Summary : The Group Sales / Catering Supervisor is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and supervision of all catering and group banquet events. This includes coordinating logistics, supervising hourly staff, and ensuring exceptional guest service and operational excellence for group hospitality functions. This role is integral in upholding Levys culture of service and teamwork while ensuring that group sales and catering clients have a seamless, high-quality experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Supervise the setup, execution, and breakdown of catering and banquet events including group hospitality activations.
• Ensure all event details are executed according to BEOs (Banquet Event Orders).
• Oversee staff to ensure service standards and safety procedures are met.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and assign roles for each event.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on event days
• Deliver Levys signature service experience with warmth, attention to detail, and responsiveness.
• Address and resolve any on-site client concerns or adjustments.
• Ensure all client requests and last-minute changes are communicated and implemented efficiently.
• Provide on-the-ground leadership to banquet captains, servers, bartenders, and support staff.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of catering staff as needed.
• Motivate and coach team members, fostering a culture of hospitality and accountability
• Collaborate with culinary, warehouse, and premium teams to ensure seamless event execution.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Assist with post-event breakdown, equipment inventory, and event recap documentation.

Qualifications :

A valid driver's license may be required. Must possess or able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and / or alcohol servers permit where required by state law.

23 years of supervisory experience in catering, banquets, or event operations, preferably in sports, entertainment, or convention settings.

Strong understanding of banquet service standards and event planning logistics.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and event days.

Proficient in event management systems (e.g., BEOs, TripleSeat, Delphi, or similar).
