License : Illinois state RN License in good standing

Certifications : BLS (American Heart Association)

Current Trauma 1 experience

EPIC experience

Description :

The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame.

Provides care to these patients via the utilization of the nursing process.

Performs all responsibilities and duties required by the unit, specific to the scope of service.

Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.

Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided.

Completes initial assessment upon patient admission.

Develops appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards.

Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.

Modifies plan of care based upon continuous evaluation.

Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by addressing safety hazards.

Communicates with others directly and privately when necessary to resolve issues.

Offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers.

Confers with colleagues to expand knowledge base.

Identifies own learning needs and initiates appropriate solutions.

Fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies.

Assesses IV sites every 4 hours and starts new IVs per policy.

Maintains documentation standards as evidenced by quarterly chart audits.

Attends 5 out of 6 staff meetings per year.

Identifies changes in patient status and responds appropriately.
