Overview As a Field Service Technician / TDR Tester, you will play a critical role in preparing healthcare facilities for a successful EPIC system go-live. This position involves deploying, configuring, and testing IT hardware and software to ensure all devices are fully operational and integrated with EPIC workflows. Key Responsibilities Device Deployment & Configuration
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot end-user devices including computers, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
- Ensure all hardware meets technical requirements for EPIC system compatibility.
Testing & Validation
Conduct comprehensive end-to-end testing of devices to verify functionality within the EPIC environment.Validate device connectivity, application performance, and workflow integration.Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate and detailed records of hardware deployment, configurations, and test outcomes.Create and update documentation for testing processes and troubleshooting steps.Collaboration & User Support
Coordinate with clinical and IT teams to schedule and perform testing activities.Provide guidance and hands-on support to end users during the testing process.Issue Troubleshooting
Diagnose and resolve hardware or configuration issues quickly and effectively.Document issues and resolutions for future reference and continuous improvement.TDR Script Execution
Assist in developing and refining test scripts tailored to EPIC workflows.Execute testing scripts to ensure all systems function as expected before go-live.Device Readiness Tasks
Support device readiness efforts, including hardware labeling, asset tagging, and inventory management.Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Expertise
Strong proficiency in deploying and troubleshooting Windows-based systems and peripherals.Familiarity with networked device configurations and healthcare IT environments.EHR Knowledge
Experience with EPIC or other Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is highly desirable.Analytical Thinking
Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues independently and effectively.Communication Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with technical and clinical staff.Documentation Accuracy
