Job description

Senior Director Of Business Development Strategy

The Senior Director of Business Development Strategy is a part of a growing senior leadership team within an Am Law 100 firm. Working closely with the Chief Strategy Officer, Global Business Leaders and others, this individual will lead the development and execution of strategic business development and marketing initiatives to drive client demand and revenue generation. They will collaborate with our partners and leaders to identify new avenues for growth, develop and implement effective Growth Plans, and continuously improve our win rate as we pursue new business.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Global Business Development Team Manage and develop team of business development professionals.
  • Business Unit and Practice Group Growth Partner with Global Business Leaders, Practice Group Leaders and other partners to develop Growth Plans and revenue growth strategies.
  • New Business Pursuits Monitor legal industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs to inform business development strategies.
  • Market Positioning & Branding Oversee and develop initiatives to build the firm's brand in targeted areas.
  • Co-Marketing and Referral Relationships Oversee and develop initiatives to build relationships with potential referral sources.
  • Business Development Coaching Develop business development coaching and mentoring programs for partners and associates.

Required Education, Skills and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field with 15+ years of relevant and progressive experience in professional services business development.
  • Strong supervisory skills and experience in fostering a strong team culture.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strategic self-starter who thrives on leading numerous high visibility projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • The Compensation range for this role is 220,000 to 260,000USD per year and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
