Job description

Overview

The Fordy Group are seeking for Project Managers with experience in industrial mechanical, rigging, and piping disciplines. The selected candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end leadership of project delivery and client development, ensuring operational excellence, strict adherence to safety protocols, and financial accountability from project initiation to closeout.

Essential Functions / Duties

  • Provide comprehensive project leadership, collaborating with clients, internal project teams, and site supervision to establish project objectives, define priorities, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Exercise full financial accountability for projects, including estimating, budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and reporting to ensure profitability.
  • Utilize advanced knowledge of project scheduling, bids, takeoffs, change orders, and contracts to manage scope, mitigate issues, and communicate critical path milestones.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and identify new business opportunities.
  • Strategically plan and mobilize resources, including equipment, tools, and personnel, to meet project specifications and deadlines.
  • Develop and implement solutions to technical and operational challenges, reviewing and applying drawings, specifications, and calculations in compliance with relevant codes and engineering standards.
  • Ensure all project activities strictly comply with company policies, customer requirements, and government regulations (including OSHA).
  • Serve as the primary champion for the project safety program, enforcing standards that ensure a safe work environment for all employees and subcontractors.
  • Deliver regular, detailed project status reports to senior management.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of direct construction project management experience, specifically within industrial rigging, mechanical, and piping markets.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing high-complexity projects.
  • A minimum of 6 years of demonstrated experience in client relationship management and business development, with a history of preparing successful competitive bids.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on process adherence, accountability, and effective risk management.
  • A strategic mindset, capable of developing project plans while simultaneously building and fostering stakeholder relationships.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of occupational safety standards and OSHA regulations relevant to industrial construction.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management scheduling software.
