Job description

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Specialist - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

Conducts initial and follow-up reviews of medical records to ensure accurate documentation

Prepares compliant queries for physicians to clarify diagnoses and procedures

Collaborates with coding teams to assign and update working MS-DRGs based on documentation

Required Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing or medical school with a current / active license

Bachelor's degree in a health-related field and / or Master's degree required

At least one of the following : RN, MD, RHIA, RHIT, or CCS with a current / active license

2-4 years of acute care inpatient hospital coding or CDI experience

Familiarity with encoder and DRG assignment, along with current knowledge of official coding guidelines
